Job Description: Painter/Blaster

Level of Education:

a. Graduate of high school, GED, trade school, or industrial school.

b. Supplemental vocational training beyond high school in shipboard installation trade desired.

Job Title: Painter/Blaster

Duties:

a. Minimum of five (5) years of marine related painting/blasting experience.

b. Performs a variety of general manual labor tasks including, but not limited to, lifting and moving materials, loading and unloading vehicles, assisting various shipboard trades, and other activities in a helping or assisting mode.

c. May perform simple repairs to tools.

d. Transports materials, tools, and equipment to and within work sites as required.

e. Ability to perform general maintenance tasks.

f. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

g. Knowledge of relevant tools and equipment.

Qualified applicant must be able to work aboard ships, climbing, bending, and working in confined spaces. Must be willing and able to travel for extended periods. Must be a U.S. citizen. Drug testing required before hiring.

Experience: Five (5) years experience in Painting/Blasting
