Advanced Integrated Technologies (AIT) is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, although recently established, the management team has many years of experience in shipboard maintenance and modernization. The company’s leadership is anchored by its founder Mr. Carl Spraberry who is well known in the industry through the advocacy organization he co-founded in 2002, the American Maritime Modernization Association. His background in maritime maintenance spans 30 years of active duty military and civilian positions managing shipboard repair and alterations.

Located conveniently in the Norfolk Industrial Park at 2427 Ingleside Road in Norfolk, AIT is centered around the major military bases and shipyards. With over 30,000 square feet of offices and warehouse there are ample facilities to accomplish any industrial requirement. Installation

AIT is a leader in bringing new technologies to the fleet and provides a wide array of shipboard installations that support all Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E) and Electronic systems. We specialize in performing installations of new equipment and state of the art technologies while maintaining seamless systems integration. Our Services include the removal and/or modification of legacy systems to fully integrate with the new technology. We perform pre-installation site surveys to determine the most economical approach and validate installation drawings.

We begin with pre-installation testing, troubleshooting, repair and overhaul of existing equipment and a turnkey installation of the new equipment. All foundations, power components, wiring, and ancillary services are provided. We ensure full functionality and system integration through final operational tests. The installation is completed with post-installation onsite training, all technical provisioning and documentation.

The platforms supported include shore-based facilities and all classes of ships for the Navy, Army, Coast Guard, MSC, NOAA, and commercial maritime craft. We also support all auxiliary support craft and small boats.

Fabrication

A full range of fabrication capabilities that include machining, welding, electrical and electronic connectorization, pipefitting and brazing, structural shipfitting and construction, manufacturing of foundations, bedplates, and equipment hardware mounting.

Testing

Pre-installation testing and troubleshooting, System Operational Verification Test (SOVT).

Additional Services

Habitability: Berthing, Galley & Laundry Modernization; Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM), Planned Maintenance System (PMS), HAZMAT removal and management, Operations and maintenance training, Support and test equipment, maintenance planning.

Specialized Containers

AIT designs and builds units for standard and custom electric diesel generators utilized as main power source or for emergencies, backups, testing and repairs. Capacities range from 125W to 2200W and all supported voltages. Units can be stationary or mobile with automatic or manual synchronization, automatic base control load, on-board double wall skid mount fuel tanks, paralleling switch gear with protective relays, sound attenuated and HVAC and any other options to guarantee uninterrupted environment friendly operations.

AIT utilizes brands such as Caterpillar, Cummins Engine, Deutz, Kohler, Detroit and others, employs experienced and certified team of designers, engineers and technicians to guarantee the quality of its products. AIT offers product warranty and maintenance programs.

Modular Accommodation and Storage Units

AIT also designs and builds or remodels ISO containers (20” or 40”) for mobile accommodation, storage or combined. AIT mobile accommodation/storage units are sealed watertight and secure. Along with that we offer a wide range of options to meet with your requirements and provide a turnaround solution. Those include, but not limited to roll doors, multiple flooring, central HVAC, power, internet/phone outlets, lights, racks and portable shelving, built in generators and fuel tanks, satellite equipment. We offer sand blasting, painting, vinyl signs and logos.
